Why Iqra Aziz is the perfect face for this winter
Ever since she became the whole country’s Chanda in Suno Chanda, Iqra Aziz has owned a very particular kind of Pakistani style: festive but never loud, desi to the core, and always a little bit playful. She went on to win hearts in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi and Khuda Aur Mohabbat, and these days she carries herself with the calm of an actress who has nothing left to prove. Born in Karachi on 24 November 1997, she celebrates her birthday later this month, so the timing of a cosy, celebratory winter campaign could not be sweeter.
That is exactly the energy COCO needs here. These are not bridal joras. They are the suits you wear to a dholki in Lahore, a chai evening at your khala’s house in Rawalpindi, or a winter lunch in Islamabad when the Margalla wind cuts through everything. Iqra makes them look like the easiest choice in the wardrobe, and that is the whole point.

Ten designs, twenty shades, and every single one rooted in the embroidery of the subcontinent.
The mood: Kashmir, Central Asia and Bengal, in one winter wardrobe
Zara Shahjahan has always been the soft, feminine, floral voice of Pakistani fashion, and COCO is the label that brings that voice to everyday wardrobes. For winter 2026, the team has gone deep into heritage. Read the design notes and you find the classic Kashmiri boteh (the paisley your dadi’s shawl was covered in), Suzani florals from Central Asia, fine Kashmiri Sozni and Dori threadwork, sampler-style cross-stitch, and the running stitch of Bengali Kantha.
Even the names are poetry in Urdu and Persian. Sard means cold. Neelam is sapphire. Shab is night. Shireen is sweet, Tabassum is a smile, Asmani is sky blue, Nairang is wonder or enchantment, and Diba is the old Persian word for fine silk brocade. Rakhsh is the legendary horse of Rustam in the Shahnameh. Somebody at COCO clearly enjoyed naming this collection.

All 10 designs and 20 colourways, look by look
Every suit is a three-piece unstitched set: an embroidered shirt, a trouser and a shawl. Here is what makes each one different, in plain words, with the price and stock status we saw on the official store.

1. Sard (Rs 11,498): the Kashmiri shawl, reimagined
Sard 1A is a deep chocolate-brown khaddar covered in boteh and paisley motifs lifted straight from vintage Kashmiri textiles. Sard 1B switches to a soft olive base with flowing vines and an ivory jacquard shawl. Both come with an embroidered organza border, more than nine metres of embroidered organza kali patti (perfect for a kalidar cut) and an embroidered trouser. Status: both in stock.
2. Ochre (Rs 12,498): the statement maker
Ochre 2A is warm mustard karandi with bold Suzani vines and florals climbing up the front panel. Ochre 2B takes the same embroidery onto a rich emerald base and pairs it with a teal and beige jacquard shawl. If you want one suit that photographs beautifully at a winter wedding function, start here. Status: both in stock.
3. Rakhsh (Rs 11,498): grandma’s cross-stitch, made chic
Rakhsh 3A is dusty pink cotton neps karandi scattered with oversized cross-stitch roses, finished with a deep maroon Marina twill shawl. Rakhsh 3B is powder-blue khaddar with the same big roses and a deep teal shawl with stepped cross-stitch detail. Sweet, feminine and very easy to wear to work. Status: both in stock.
4. Neelam (Rs 11,498): the sapphire classic
Neelam 4A is deep navy khaddar with Suzani florals and paisleys, a long floral spray falling from a curved neckline and neat borders on the sleeves. Neelam 4B is the fun sister in parrot green. Both come with an embroidered herringbone shawl, the warmest shawl fabric in the collection. Status: both in stock.
5. Shab (Rs 11,498): night-time drama
Shab 5A is rich plum karandi with a heavily worked vertical neckline of paisleys, flowers and small medallions. Shab 5B is deep forest green with clustered florals and an embroidered herringbone shawl. These are the evening suits of the edit. Status: 5A on pre-order (sold out), 5B in stock.
6. Shireen (Rs 11,498): sweet Kashmiri Dori
Shireen 6A is soft ivory khaddar with Kashmiri Dori paisleys, each one built from tiny flowers and leaves, set against a deep brown Marina twill shawl with two statement paisleys. Shireen 6B flips it: warm rust-brown shirt, forest-green shawl. Both have an embroidered organza border and an embroidered trouser. Status: both in stock.
7. Tabassum (Rs 11,498): fine Sozni needlework
Tabassum 7A is deep teal karandi with slender Sozni vines and soft blue blooms, plus a richly worked border at the hem. Tabassum 7B is the same delicate threadwork on black, and it has already gone to pre-order. Status: 7A in stock, 7B on pre-order (sold out).
8. Nairang (Rs 12,498): the artist’s choice
Nairang 8A is black khaddar with floral trails inspired by East Asian botanical painting, so it looks hand drawn rather than stitched. Nairang 8B puts the same idea on berry red with a navy shawl. This is the only design where the trouser itself carries a fuller floral arrangement, so plan a straight or cigarette cut to show it off. Status: both in stock.
9. Asmani (Rs 12,498): a garden in winter
Asmani 9A is soft blue karandi with a lush bouquet of roses and small blossoms. Asmani 9B was soft cream with blue and mustard florals and an organza patti, and it is the first suit in the collection to sell out completely. Status: 9A in stock, 9B sold out.
10. Diba (Rs 11,498): Kantha from Bengal
Diba 10A is deep red khaddar with Kantha-inspired paisleys and floral curls, held together by geometric bands. Diba 10B is soft ivory with running-stitch lines and small circular motifs. Diba 10A is our pick for anyone who wants a red winter suit that is not bridal. Status: both in stock.
Know your fabric: khaddar, karandi and the three shawls

Khaddar is the dense, slightly coarse winter cotton every Pakistani household knows. It holds its shape, keeps you warm and softens with every wear. Cotton neps karandi has a textured, slubby surface and drapes more softly, so it looks a little dressier. Ochre, Rakhsh 3A, Shab, Tabassum and Asmani lean karandi, while Sard, Neelam, Shireen, Nairang, Diba and Rakhsh 3B are khaddar.
The shawl is where the real difference sits. Herringbone (Neelam, Shab 5B) is the warmest, made for Islamabad and Peshawar nights. Marina twill (Rakhsh, Shireen, Nairang, Asmani) is lighter and easier to drape, ideal for Lahore afternoons. Jacquard (Sard, Ochre 2B) has the pattern woven in and gives the most polished finish. Karachi readers, Marina twill will be your best friend.
How to style it the Iqra Aziz way
- Keep the shirt simple, let the embroidery talk. A straight shirt with a round or slit neckline shows off the front panels. Iqra rarely over-accessorises, and neither should you.
- Drape the shawl on one shoulder. All the shawls carry embroidered pallus, so throw one end over your shoulder and let the embroidered border fall in front.
- Go tonal for daytime, contrast for evening. Neelam 4A or Sard 1A with nude makeup and small studs is perfect for the office. Ochre 2B or Shab 5B with kohl-lined eyes and jhumkay is dholki ready.
- Choose your shoes by the trouser. Khussas or chappals with a shalwar or straight trouser, block heels with a cigarette pant (especially Nairang, where the trouser is embroidered).
- Add a long coat for real winter. A camel or black wool coat over Shireen 6A or Diba 10B is a very current, very wearable look for cold northern cities.
Stitching tips before you hand it to your darzi
- Sard is made for a kalidar. With over nine metres of embroidered kali patti, a flared kalidar or angrakha style will use it best. Tell your tailor before cutting.
- Count your panels. Many designs come as separate 13 inch embroidered panels (front centre, left and right). Make sure your tailor joins them so the motifs line up across the front.
- Use the organza borders on the hem and sleeves. Sard, Shireen, Nairang and Asmani include embroidered organza borders. Do not let them go to waste.
- Dry clean only. COCO’s own care guide says dry clean, iron at moderate temperature and keep out of direct sunlight. Rich colours like plum, teal and berry will last much longer this way.

Three suits went within weeks of launch: the plum, the black and the cream. Popular shades in a COCO winter drop do not wait around. If you have your eye on Shab 5B, Tabassum 7A or Neelam 4A, do not wait for a sale. The 14 suits at Rs 11,498 offer the same three-piece set as the Rs 12,498 group, so unless you have fallen for Ochre, Nairang or Asmani, the lower price point is the smarter buy.
Buy original only. COCO joras are among the most copied in Pakistan. Order from the official COCO store or a COCO outlet. The brand states 3 to 5 days for local delivery and 8 to 10 days internationally.
