Shalwar Kameez Design Pakistan 2026: Prices, Brands and Which Styles Are on Sale
Yaar, the words “shalwar kameez design Pakistan” get typed into Google 5,400 times a month. The person asking is usually looking for one of two things: a style they have seen and want to find again, or a proper hisaab of what the market actually has before they spend. This guide gives you the second: measured data from 1,203 specifically-labelled shalwar kameez pieces in stock at nine Pakistani brands on 10 October 2026.
What This Data Covers and What It Misses
Pakistani fashion brands sell shalwar kameez by the thousand, bohat zyada. The challenge is that most do not put those words in the product title. They write “2 Piece Embroidered Lawn Suit” or “3-PC Khaddar Collection” instead. Our October crawl found only 1,203 products where a brand explicitly used “shalwar”, “salwar” or “kameez” in the title.
Zellbury is the standout exception, haan: it labels 951 of its pieces directly as shalwar kameez, making it far and away the brand with the most explicit labelling in Pakistani fashion. Sana Safinaz is the only other brand with more than 100 pieces. Together, sirf these two brands account for 96 per cent of everything measured here.
The bigger picture
If you are looking for shalwar kameez from Khaadi, Sapphire or Gul Ahmed, check the brand’s own website under “suits” or “2-piece”. These brands sell large volumes of shalwar kameez but title their pieces differently, so they do not appear in the explicit measurement here. Chalo, bas itna pata hona chahiye before you conclude a brand is missing.
What Shalwar Kameez Actually Cost in Pakistan
The market for explicitly-labelled shalwar kameez is narrow in price range. Seventy-seven per cent of all 1,198 priced pieces fell between Rs 2,000 and Rs 5,000 on 10 October 2026.
| Price band | Pieces | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Under Rs 2,000 | 92 | 7% |
| Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 | 927 | 77% |
| Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 | 134 | 11% |
| Rs 10,000 and above | 45 | 3% |
From 1,198 priced pieces in stock at 9 brands, 10 October 2026. Generation excluded (no rupee prices in feed).
The concentration at Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 reflects Zellbury’s pricing: 951 of the 1,203 pieces in this measurement belong to Zellbury, and its range clusters between Rs 2,490 and Rs 4,490. Sana Safinaz’s 197 pieces push the upper band: they typically cost Rs 5,799, pulling the third quartile upward. Basically, you are looking at two very different markets: the Zellbury market (casual, everyday, abhi buy karo) and the Sana Safinaz market (semi-formal, more expensive, and heavily discounted right now).
Cross Stitch stands apart at Rs 10,950 median for its 13 explicitly-named pieces. These are premium embroidered sets, not the standard lawn suit, and the small count means the median is more representative of a narrow luxury range than a broad offering.
For context, the Rs 2,890 overall median in this measurement compares to Rs 3,399 for printed suits and Rs 6,699 for embroidered suits from the same October crawl. The shalwar kameez label tends to be applied to more casual and mid-range pieces, while formal wear gets sold under the “suit”, “pret” or “collection” label.
Which Brand Has the Most Shalwar Kameez in Pakistan
Zellbury stands entirely apart from every other brand by the volume it explicitly labels as shalwar kameez.
Women’s shalwar kameez in stock by brand, 10 October 2026
Pieces with “shalwar”, “salwar” or “kameez” in the product title
Generation has 5 pieces but is excluded from price figures. Nine brands total. Khaadi, Sapphire and most other major brands title their shalwar kameez as “suits” or by fabric, so do not appear here.
Zellbury’s 951 pieces represent a deliberate choice to use traditional naming while other brands moved to “suit” language. The result is that searching for “shalwar kameez” on Zellbury returns almost its entire catalogue, while the same search on Khaadi or Sapphire returns nothing even though both brands carry thousands of shalwar kameez.
How Much Shalwar Kameez Stock Is on Sale
Sirf 14 per cent of the measured shalwar kameez pieces were marked down on 10 October 2026. That is the lowest sale share of any women’s category in our October data, lower than embroidered suits at 45 per cent or printed suits at 60 per cent. The low number is explained almost entirely by Zellbury: 951 of 1,203 pieces are Zellbury, and Zellbury runs virtually no discounts, kabhi nahi. Koi bhi category dekh lo: full price, all the time.
| Brand | In stock | On sale | Sale share | Median price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Beechtree | 10 | 10 | 100% | Rs 1,945 |
| Agha Noor | 5 | 5 | 100% | Rs 2,000 |
| Limelight | 13 | 12 | 92% | Rs 1,399 |
| Sana Safinaz | 197 | 147 | 74% | Rs 5,799 |
| Cross Stitch | 13 | 3 | 23% | Rs 10,950 |
| Zellbury | 951 | 1 | 0% | Rs 2,690 |
| Nishat Linen | 3 | 0 | 0% | Rs 3,990 |
Data from 10 October 2026. Zeen (6 pieces) and Generation (5 pieces, unpriced) not shown in this table. The Zellbury zero-sale pattern is consistent across its entire catalogue, not specific to shalwar kameez.
Design Styles: Embroidered, Printed and Farshi
Within the 1,203-piece set, teen design categories appear most often in product titles: embroidered, printed, and the farshi cut.
Embroidered shalwar kameez typically cost more than the category median. Agha Noor’s five pieces are all “Embroidered Lawn Shalwar” at Rs 2,000 each. Beechtree lists nine “EMBROIDERED SHALWAR” pieces as standalone bottoms. These are not the same thing: Agha Noor’s pieces are complete tops, Beechtree’s are bottoms sold separately.
Printed shalwar kameez sit in the mid-range. Beechtree includes a “PRINTED SHALWAR” in its range. Zellbury carries a large selection of printed kameez and shalwar pieces in its Rs 2,490 to Rs 3,490 band.
Farshi shalwar is a traditional wide-legged cut that historically meant a bottom so full it spread across the floor. If your dadi or nani wore one to a dholki, yahi hai woh. Modern versions are wide but not floor-length. Beechtree listed a “FARSHI SHALWAR” in stock on 10 October 2026. Zellbury includes several wide-cut shalwars in its range under names like “Patiala” or “Palazzo Shalwar.” Our article on the farshi shalwar covers this cut in more detail from the same October data.
Women’s Versus Men’s Shalwar Kameez in Pakistan
Our men’s shalwar kameez guide covers the same traditional Pakistani outfit from the men’s side of the market, using data from a separate 10 October 2026 crawl of 13 men’s stores. The price positioning is interesting, hai na: men’s shalwar kameez from formal brands like Amir Adnan, Cambridge and Almirah typically costs Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 for the kameez alone, while women’s explicitly-labelled shalwar kameez centres around Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 for the complete piece.
The men’s market is also more label-consistent: Edenrobe, Bonanza and Almirah all title their men’s traditional wear as “shalwar kameez” more reliably than women’s brands, which switched to “suit” language in mainstream advertising. The result is that the men’s shalwar kameez market is easier to measure directly. Bas, a woman searching for a shalwar kameez design Pakistan will often need to search her preferred brand’s “suits” or “pret” section to see its full range.

What is the price of a shalwar kameez in Pakistan?
The middle price for women’s shalwar kameez explicitly labelled as such was Rs 2,890 on 10 October 2026, based on 1,198 priced pieces across 9 brands. Seventy-seven per cent cost between Rs 2,000 and Rs 5,000. The range ran from under Rs 2,000 at Beechtree and Limelight to over Rs 10,000 at Cross Stitch.
Which brand is best for shalwar kameez in Pakistan?
Zellbury led with 951 explicitly-labelled shalwar kameez pieces in stock on 10 October 2026 at a median of Rs 2,690 and virtually no discounts. Sana Safinaz had 197 pieces at Rs 5,799 median with 74 per cent marked down. The right brand depends on whether you want the widest choice or the deepest current discount.
What are the main styles of shalwar kameez design in Pakistan?
The main design categories in our October 2026 measurement were embroidered (typically Rs 5,000 and above), printed (typically Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000), and plain or solid (typically under Rs 3,000). Farshi shalwar, a wide-legged traditional cut, appeared at several brands including Beechtree and Zellbury. Semi-formal pieces combining a kurta with an embroidered shalwar also make up a share of the measured stock.
What is a farshi shalwar?
A farshi shalwar is a traditional Pakistani trouser cut with extremely wide, floor-grazing legs, originally associated with formal and court dress. Several brands sold it as a separate bottom in October 2026. Beechtree listed a Farshi Shalwar as a standalone piece; Zellbury carries several farshi-style cuts within its shalwar range.
Is a shalwar kameez the same as a salwar kameez?
Yes, they are the same outfit. “Shalwar kameez” is the Urdu-correct spelling (شلوار قمیض), while “salwar kameez” is an alternate English transliteration. Both refer to the traditional two or three piece outfit: a long shirt (kameez) worn over loose trousers (shalwar), sometimes with a dupatta. This article uses the Urdu spelling “shalwar” throughout.
Which Pakistani brand sells the cheapest shalwar kameez?
Limelight had the lowest median at Rs 1,399 across its 13 in-stock shalwar kameez pieces on 10 October 2026, with 92 per cent marked down. Beechtree followed at Rs 1,945 median with all 10 pieces on sale. Zellbury had the highest volume at Rs 2,690 median, all at full price.
What is the difference between a shalwar kameez and a suit in Pakistan?
In everyday Pakistani fashion, “suit” and “shalwar kameez” are used interchangeably. Formally, a suit means two or three pieces: a kameez, shalwar and optionally a dupatta. Our measurement counts only pieces with “shalwar”, “salwar” or “kameez” in the product title, which means many suit-labelled pieces from the same brands are counted separately in our 2-piece and 3-piece suit guides.

How we checked: All figures come from a crawl of 16 Pakistani fashion brand Shopify stores on 10 October 2026 (raw-2026-10-10/). A product is counted as shalwar kameez if “shalwar”, “salwar” or “kameez” appears in the product title. Adult women’s only: men’s products and products from brands with a majority of men-labelled vendor names were excluded, as were products tagged hide-atc, hide-price or booknow (listed but not buyable online). Generation is included in the count but not in price figures. Khaadi, Sapphire, Gul Ahmed, Elan, Baroque, Maria B and most other major women’s brands title their shalwar kameez as suits, sets or by fabric, so they do not appear in this measurement even though they sell shalwar kameez. The figures here reflect only explicitly-labelled pieces, not total market size. No brand has announced changes to these figures since 10 October 2026; re-measure before quoting after March 2027.
