Formal outfits are women’s pieces described as formal, festive, luxury, chiffon, organza, net, velvet, jamawar, raw silk, embellished, bridal, wedding, party or fancy, or cut as a gharara, sharara, lehenga, angrakha, peshwas, kalidar or maxi. Standalone trousers, dupattas, scarves, shawls, shoes, bags, jewellery and home goods are excluded, and so is anything under Rs 500. That left 4,406 formal outfits in stock. Typical price is the median, and the typical cut is the median discount among outfits on sale. Colour, fabric and cut are read from product titles, tags, colour options and descriptions, so one outfit can count in several rows or none.
