Measured across 24 stores and 25,499 women’s pieces you can order, read on 9 and 10 October 2026

“Phir se kaala?” That is what Ammi says, in this totally made up but deeply accurate scene, every time a parcel arrives with my name on it. Fair, my cupboard looks like a power cut, and my excuse never changes: black goes with everything and hides the biryani stain.

So I checked. On 9 and 10 October 2026 I read the online catalogues of 24 Pakistani clothing stores, 153,266 products, and kept every women’s outfit, kurta, top and suit you can still order: 25,499 pieces. This black dress Pakistan guide covers prices, brands, real sales and sizes, and gives red and yellow a fair turn, because Ammi wants colour at the next shaadi.

Black Dress Pakistan: How Much of the Shelf Is Black

First, a confession: not every brand tells you the colour. Half the shelf, 12,590 of the 25,499 pieces (49.4 percent), has a colour I could read. Limelight, Gul Ahmed, Sana Safinaz, Nishat Linen, Asim Jofa, Baroque, Charizma, Elan and Zellbury name a colour on under 5 percent of their pieces, so their black is mostly invisible. Shares below are of pieces with a readable colour.

And black is the single most common colour name:

About one in eight. Haan, Ammi, I am not the only one. To be fair to the other side of the wardrobe: count white, off white and cream as one family and they reach 1,602, a dead heat with black.

Mostly suits: 400 three piece, 182 two piece and 259 more with no piece count, then 155 shirts, 155 tops, 94 co-ords and 51 kurtas and kurtis. For kurtis alone, our kurti Pakistan guide has the full count.

Women’s black pieces still orderable, read on 9 and 10 October 2026. Price paid today. Generation publishes no rupee prices. Small samples: Beechtree 18, Gulaal 13, Agha Noor 10. Zellbury (52 black, typical Rs 1,540, none on sale) names a colour on too few pieces to rank.

Ethnic is the black queen: nearly a quarter of its coloured range is black. Outfitters and Generation run about one in five.

Saya is the cheap black, typical Rs 3,499; Maria B the dear one, Rs 23,990, up to Rs 390,000. Uff.

Black Dress Pakistan Price Bands

Across 1,463 priced black pieces, the typical black dress Pakistan price was Rs 4,792, and half sat between Rs 3,000 and Rs 7,990. The whole coloured shelf was typically Rs 4,590, so black costs about the same.

Black follows the market band for band, except at the top: 5.4 percent of black costs Rs 20,000 or more, against 8.3 percent of the whole shelf, and 66 of those 79 are Maria B. Bridal money goes to colour. Achha, makes sense.

710 black pieces are ready to wear, typical Rs 5,360, and 245 are unstitched, typical Rs 3,626. Unsure which? Our unstitched vs stitched guide settles it.

The cheapest black is almost always the layer under a sheer kurta: a Zellbury tank top at Rs 590, an Ethnic top at Rs 790 on sale, an Outfitters tank at Rs 890 and Saya’s rib tank at Rs 998. A full black suit starts higher: Edenrobe’s cheapest was an unstitched printed lawn suit at Rs 2,500.

Formal or Casual: Black Dress Pakistan Labels

Brands’ own words here, as in our formal wear Pakistan guide: formal means the brand wrote formal in title, type or tags; casual means casual, daily, everyday, basic or day wear.

Women’s black pieces still orderable, read on 9 and 10 October 2026. One piece says both; it counts as formal. Maria B (26) and Cross Stitch (21) lead the formal row.

The twist: black is a casual colour more than a formal one. It is 16.7 percent of the pieces brands call casual, but only 7.5 percent of those they call formal. Our casual wear Pakistan guide has the everyday shelf.

For shaadi black, budget Rs 17,521, the typical formal black piece. Our party wear Pakistan guide judged dressy black by fabric and cut, so its count is wider, and the wedding wear guide covers the baraat.

Chalo, a black styling cheat

One plain black suit plus three dupattas is four outfits: gold for the mehndi, red for the walima, printed for chai at Khala’s. Our dupatta Pakistan guide has the prices.

Black Dress Pakistan on Sale vs the Market

On the day, 903 of 1,463 priced black pieces were on sale, 61.7 percent, at a typical cut of 50 percent, landing at a typical Rs 4,000. The whole coloured shelf was 65.5 percent on sale at a typical 40 percent off, and the whole women’s shelf 54.6 percent.

So a black dress Pakistan sale is slightly rarer than average, but deeper: 331 black sale pieces are cut by about 50 percent. The deepest was Gul Ahmed’s black floral top, Rs 3,888 down to Rs 990.

Almirah had 90.9 percent of its black on sale, Edenrobe 87.5 and J. Junaid Jamshed 87.0. Zeen had just 1 of 63, and Zellbury none of 52. Bas, black Zeen means full price, or wait for the 11.11 sale.

Share of letter sized pieces with each size still orderable, read on 9 and 10 October 2026. Ethnic’s black runs XS to L only, so two columns leave it out.

XL is where it gets tight: even without Ethnic, only 41.3 percent of black pieces still have an XL, against 46.1 percent of the coloured shelf. XXL black is close to extinct at 2.9 percent, so a plus size black dress Pakistan hunt needs a plan. Look at Edenrobe (XXL on 24.5 percent of its black), J. Junaid Jamshed (XL on 70.0 percent) and Zellbury (XL on 73.9 percent). Our plus size kurti guide goes deeper.

Good news: only 12.5 percent of black pieces are down to one size, against 16.2 percent of the coloured shelf.

Red Dress Pakistan: Prices, Brands and Sales

Ab red. I counted red, maroon, crimson, burgundy and cherry, and left out wine (44) and rust (92). That gives 568 red pieces you can order at 18 brands, 4.5 percent of the coloured shelf. Maroon alone is 243 of them, and plain red 306.

Red is the dear colour. The typical red piece costs Rs 6,000, and 14.5 percent of red costs Rs 20,000 or more, almost three times black’s share. The bridal effect: Maria B lists red wedding pieces at up to Rs 1,150,000. For the bride’s red, see our bridal lehenga guide.

Red is also the least discounted: 51.7 percent on sale at a typical 40 percent cut. The red dress Pakistan sale rack is thin; J. Junaid Jamshed and Almirah are the exceptions.

Red is rising: it is 5.9 percent of coloured pieces first added since 15 July 2026, against 4.0 percent of older ones, while black stayed flat at about 13 percent. The cheapest red was a Zellbury basic t-shirt at Rs 690.

Yellow Dress Pakistan: Prices, Brands and Sales

For yellow I counted yellow, mustard and lemon, not gold (44) or ochre (13). That gives 710 yellow pieces at 18 brands, 5.6 percent of the coloured shelf: 538 say yellow, 96 lemon and 85 mustard.

Yellow is the bargain colour. The typical yellow piece costs Rs 4,762, about the same as black, but 68.3 percent is on sale, the highest of the three, at a typical cut of 46 percent. Our mehndi dress guide found the same in September. Shaadi season, phir bhi on sale. Wah.

Yellow unstitched suits are the deal of this guide: 100 of 120 are on sale, typical Rs 3,834. And yellow keeps its big sizes best of the three, with XXL still orderable on 7.6 percent of yellow pieces. The yellow dress Pakistan shelf is shrinking a little: 5.0 percent of new season pieces against 5.9 percent of older ones.

Black is the biggest shelf, red the priciest, yellow the most discounted. Among the 228 coloured pieces whose labels mention wedding or bridal, red led with 23, then black with 18 and yellow with 13. Even at weddings, kaala is right behind laal.

Black Dress Pakistan Checklist: How to Buy Online

  1. Pick the job. Everyday black: Saya, Ethnic or Edenrobe, Rs 3,500 to Rs 4,500. Shaadi black: about Rs 17,521.
  2. Check your size first. Need XL or XXL? Try J. Junaid Jamshed, Edenrobe or Zellbury. Ethnic’s black stops at L.
  3. Scroll by eye at Limelight, Gul Ahmed and Sana Safinaz, which rarely name a colour.
  4. Want colour on a budget? Yellow is the most discounted. Red costs more, and the sale rack is thinner.
  5. Check the return rule before paying for a sale piece. Shabash, done.

Returns on Black, Red and Yellow Dresses

Most brands here do not take back sale items, and 61.7 percent of black is on sale. Ethnic, the biggest black seller, allows a size exchange only. We have no policy on file for Saya, Maria B, Outfitters, Agha Noor, Gulaal or Zellbury: check their sites, bilkul.
