Plus Size Kurti 2026: Which Pakistani Brands Make XL and XXL, and Which Still Have Them

Sale Siren · Verified Pricing

Measured across 24 stores and 16,240 stitched women’s pieces you can order today, 10 October 2026

It is 1 am, there is a gorgeous embroidered kurti in your cart, and you tap XL. Greyed out. Next app: the sizes stop at L. Third app: XL exists, and costs your whole Eid budget. If you wear XL or bigger, haan, you know this little routine by heart. And yaar, it is not you. It is the racks.

So I counted the racks. On 9 and 10 October 2026 I read the full catalogues of 24 Pakistani stores and checked the sizes on every stitched women’s piece you can still order: 16,240 kurtis, shirts, dresses and suits. This is the honest plus size kurti guide, whether you say plus size, bari size or just XL.

Plus Size Kurti Shopping: The Size Problem in Numbers

First, a funny one. Not one of the 89,715 women’s garments listed across these 24 stores said “plus size” or “curvy” anywhere. Brands just stop at a letter, so the only way to find a plus size kurti is to read the size list on every piece.

A size counts when the brand still lists it. Number sizes 8 to 16 are read as XS to XL. No brand listed 3XL or 4XL.

Look at the cliff after L. XL could be ordered on only 30.7 percent of stitched pieces, half the rate of L, and XXL on just 2.5 percent. 3XL does not appear at any of the 24 brands, not even on pieces with every size still in stock.

Does XL sell out, or is it never made? Both. The 6,830 pieces with every size still in stock show the range brands actually make:

Left: the 6,830 pieces with every size still in stock. Right: all 16,240 stitched pieces. 9 and 10 October 2026.

So about half of all pieces are made without an XL, and many of the rest have already sold through it. Bas, the shortage starts at the design table.

Ruko, a letter is not a measurement

One brand’s XL is another brand’s L. Open the size chart on the product page, measure a kurti you already love flat on the bed, and compare chest and hip, not the letter.

Women’s stitched ready to wear still orderable, 9 and 10 October 2026. “XL in the range” is read from pieces with every size still in stock; Agha Noor’s rests on 22 such pieces and Outfitters’ on 12. Typical price is the median, all sizes.

J. Junaid Jamshed is the plus size kurti and suit champion. Nearly every fully stocked piece runs XS to XXL, and XL was still orderable on 78 percent of its 914 pieces. Edenrobe is the other XXL brand, with XXL on 44 percent of everything. Together they hold 389 of the 399 XXL pieces. Zeen and Baroque keep XL in stock best after that, but Baroque is formal, at a typical Rs 21,950.

The sad end: Ethnic and Outfitters list no XL on any stitched piece, and 1,204 of Ethnic’s 1,210 fully stocked pieces ran exactly XS to L. Limelight made XL on under 1 percent, with Cross Stitch and Charizma close behind.

The most frustrating rows are brands that make XL but have sold through it. Zellbury puts XL in the range on 96 percent of pieces, yet only 44 percent can still be ordered. Saya drops from 82 to 45, Nishat Linen from 84 to 43. With these brands, timing beats luck.

Chalo, quick hisaab

XXL: J. Junaid Jamshed or Edenrobe, sirf these two. XL on a budget: Zellbury or Saya. XL in a new full price piece: Zeen. Formal XL: Baroque or Maria B, with a big budget.

Across all of them, 185 kurtis could be ordered in XL or XXL, at a typical Rs 2,690, and 83.6 percent were on sale. XXL kurtis: 16, all at J. Junaid Jamshed. Alkaram Studio is the sweet surprise, with 85 percent still in XL at a typical Rs 1,995.

The hurtful bit is Ethnic: the second biggest kurti shelf and not one plus size kurti on it. Limelight is the same. Bohat sad if you love their prints, but refreshing will not help. Our kurti Pakistan guide covers styles and fabrics for every size.

Plus Size Kurti on Sale: Why the Discount Rack Lets You Down

Everyone says wait for the sale. For XL, that advice backfires:

A piece counts when an XL variant is still listed. New season means first added to the catalogue on or after 15 July 2026.

The sale rack has the fewest XLs. XL could be ordered on 26.1 percent of sale pieces against 34.4 percent at full price, and 26.3 percent of sale pieces were down to one size, against 13.4 percent. The XL went first, at full price.

The new season is your friend: XL could still be ordered on 47.0 percent of pieces added since 15 July 2026, against 25.5 percent of older stock, and 63.1 percent of fully stocked new pieces came in XL. So buy the new drop early. Our winter collection 2026 guide has what is new, and our fake sale guide shows how to read a was price.

Pieces you can order in XL were also on sale less often, 50.7 percent against 60.5 percent, at a smaller typical cut, 40 percent against 46. With 11.11 and the winter sale coming, waiting only makes sense if your size is already plentiful.

3 piece suits hold XL best, at 40.4 percent; 1 piece dresses and kaftans are worst, at 10.0 percent, as our kaftan guide also found.

Unstitched: The Size That Always Fits

The oldest plus size trick in every Pakistani home: unstitched has no size, so it never sells out in yours. 3,641 unstitched 3 piece suits could be ordered, at a typical Rs 4,893. A stitched 3 piece cost a typical Rs 9,999.

Add your darzi’s charge and you still get a suit cut to your measurements. Take your best fitting kurti along as the pattern, and ask for extra seam allowance at the sides. Dono options are fine, but if your size keeps vanishing online, unstitched is the calm one. Our unstitched vs stitched guide does the full hisaab, and for sardi, khaddar suits come mostly unstitched anyway.

How to Shop a Plus Size Kurti Online

  1. Start where the range goes up. J. Junaid Jamshed and Edenrobe for XXL; Zellbury, Saya, Almirah and Zeen for XL.
  2. Skip the brands that stop at L: Ethnic, Outfitters and Limelight.
  3. Read the size chart, not the letter. Measure a kurti you love, flat, and compare chest and hip. If you are between sizes, size up: a darzi can take a seam in, but cannot add fabric that is not there.
  4. Buy new season pieces early, not on the sale rack.
  5. Check the exchange rules first. A wrong size on sale is usually yours to keep.

Pair a kurti with an easy straight trouser from our trouser guide, which found the same size wall on bottoms, and keep your dupatta wide and light.

Returns on Plus Size Pieces

57.6 percent of stitched pieces were on sale, so this matters. J. Junaid Jamshed exchanges sale pieces only “if the product received does not match the product you have ordered”, and Almirah says the same. Edenrobe says: “Items purchased at 50% off or above cannot be exchanged or returned.” Gul Ahmed is the friendly one: exchange within 30 days, sale items not excluded. We did not read the Saya, Zellbury or Outfitters policies.

Every entry read directly from the brand’s own published returns or exchange policy on 20 August 2026, and re-read for 15 of the brands on 27 August 2026. Where a policy does not mention sale items at all, the table says so rather than assuming they are covered. Policies change, so check the brand site before you pay.

The Bottom Line on Plus Size Kurti Shopping

The plus size kurti market in one line: of 16,240 stitched pieces at 24 brands, only 30.7 percent can still be ordered in XL, 2.5 percent in XXL, and none in 3XL.

So shop smart: J. Junaid Jamshed and Edenrobe for XXL, Zellbury, Saya, Almirah and Zeen for XL, the new season over the sale rack, and a good darzi when your size has vanished. Abhi go fill that cart.

How we checked: We read the complete online catalogues of 24 stores: Agha Noor, Asim Jofa, Baroque, Beechtree, Charizma, Cross Stitch, Elan, Generation, Gulaal, Limelight, Maria B, Nishat Linen, Sana Safinaz, Saya, Zeen and Zellbury on 10 October 2026, and the women’s lines of Gul Ahmed, J. Junaid Jamshed, Alkaram Studio, Almirah, Bonanza Satrangi, Edenrobe, Ethnic and Outfitters on 9 October 2026. We kept women’s stitched ready to wear you could still order: kurtis, shirts, tops, dresses and 1, 2 and 3 piece suits, 16,240 pieces. Unstitched pieces, bottoms, dupattas, shawls, outerwear, western wear, nightwear, bridal lines and men’s and children’s pieces are left out. A kurti is a piece whose name or product type says kurti. Brands list only sizes you can still order; number sizes 8 to 16 are read as XS to XL, as Zeen labels its own. “In the range” uses only pieces with every size in stock and at least two sizes. No measurements are published, so we quote none. Typical price is the median price paid today; on sale means a higher was price is shown, never a custom size surcharge. Generation publishes no rupee prices. Khaadi and Sapphire publish no readable feed. “New season” means first added to the catalogue on or after 15 July 2026.
