Kaftan Pakistan 2026: 93 Kaftans Priced, and Why None of the New Ones Is on Sale

Guests for a whole week means one thing. Your phuppo is coming for a week, the house will be full, and you want one thing that looks put together but feels like pajamas. A kaftan. Easy, right? Then every brand shows you two pieces, three sold out signs and prices all over the place, and twenty minutes later you still have no clue what a kaftan should cost.

Toh I did the boring part for you. On 9 and 10 October 2026 I read the full online catalogues of 24 Pakistani stores and pulled out every women’s kaftan you can still order: 93 kaftans at eight brands. This is the honest kaftan Pakistan guide: prices, real sales, sizes left, and a surprise about free size.

Kaftan Pakistan: Who Actually Sells Them

First shock: kaftans are rare. Of 32,332 women’s clothes you could order, only 93 were kaftans. That is one kaftan in every 348 pieces. Fourteen stores, Beechtree and Zellbury among them, listed none.

One brand owns the shelf: Ethnic had 51 of the 93, more than everyone else combined.

Women’s kaftans you could still order online, read on 9 and 10 October 2026. Typical price is the median price paid today. Every brand except Ethnic has fewer than 20, so treat those rows as a peek, not a ranking.

Across the 88 kaftans with a rupee price, the typical kaftan Pakistan price was Rs 7,890, and half sat between Rs 5,490 and Rs 10,990. Without Ethnic the typical price drops to Rs 6,290, so Ethnic is not the cheap option, bas the biggest one.

The kaftan Pakistan shelf also empties fast. 24 more kaftans were listed but no longer orderable, including 10 of Generation’s 15 and 9 of Sana Safinaz’s 10. See one you love there? Yaar, do not wait.

Kaftan Price in Pakistan: Bands for Every Budget

The sweet spot is Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,999, with four in ten kaftans. The cheapest at every brand:

Kaftan Pakistan Sale: What Is Really Discounted

On the day, 29 of the 88 priced kaftans were on sale, 33 percent, at a typical cut of 50 percent and a typical sale price of Rs 4,500, against Rs 7,990 for a typical full price piece. Ethnic had 19 of them, Limelight 7, Gul Ahmed 2 and Sana Safinaz 1. Zeen, Nishat Linen and Alkaram Studio had none.

Then I checked when each kaftan Pakistan brands are discounting was first added to the catalogue.

Every discounted kaftan was first added to its catalogue on or before 20 May 2026. Not one kaftan added since 1 July 2026 was cut.

The sale rack is the spring and summer stock. All 29 discounted kaftans were first added by 20 May 2026. The 48 added since 1 July, mostly Ethnic’s new pieces, Alkaram Studio’s silk drop and Zeen’s winter line, were all full price, at a typical Rs 9,944. So a new kaftan costs about double the typical sale piece.

Kaftan Pakistan Picks: Everyday or Dressy

Here is the thing nobody tells you: on the kaftan Pakistan shelf, the kaftan is mostly an everyday piece. Only 12 of the 93 carried a dressy word from the brand itself. Small sample, so read it as a pattern:

Dressy means the brand’s own name, type or tags say luxe, luxury, festive, formal, boutique, embellished, velvet or chiffon. Read on 9 and 10 October 2026.

Ethnic splits its kaftans into named lines. Rozana, which literally means everyday, had 19 at a typical Rs 8,490, and 11 of them were on sale. Casual had 16 at Rs 7,990, mostly new and full price. Special Price had 13 at Rs 6,990. And Boutique had just 3, at Rs 14,990 to Rs 34,990: the only properly formal kaftans in the whole count.

One luxury shelf we did not count. Sana Safinaz files 21 more in stock pieces under a “Kaftans” heading, but their names do not say kaftan. 17 are code named luxury pret at Rs 39,799 to Rs 195,000, typical Rs 65,000. Bridal budget? Look there. Everyone else, sirf the 93 above matter.

Kaftan Pakistan Fabric and Work

Fabric is the frustrating part: 56 of the 93 kaftans name no fabric, including all 51 at Ethnic. Read the description. Among those that do say:

Silk is the kaftan Pakistan favourite: it drapes and flows. We counted whatever the brand called silk; our silk dress guide goes deeper on that. Velvet is the winter option, and none of it was on sale.

Alkaram Studio’s 7 silk kaftans are ready to stitch, in chamois silk or crepe silk, at Rs 6,290 to Rs 7,890, and Gul Ahmed’s two cotton silk kaftans are unstitched fabric at Rs 5,994, down from Rs 9,990. Embroidered kaftans (31) cost a typical Rs 11,490 and printed ones (32) Rs 7,990, so embroidery adds about Rs 3,500. Colour wise, black led on 16 pieces, then shades of blue, beige and lemon.

Kaftan Pakistan Sizes: The Free Size Myth

Everybody thinks kaftans come in one free size. Haan, I did too. Not one of the 93 kaftans we could order offered a free size. Stitched ones came in normal sizes; the 9 unstitched or ready to stitch pieces had no size. For the 84 sized kaftans:

XL is almost gone, and XXL does not exist. Only four kaftans could be ordered in XL: two at Zeen, one at Nishat Linen and one at Generation. Ethnic, with 51 kaftans, had nothing orderable above L. Bohat odd for a garment meant to be roomy. Kaftans are cut loose, so check the chest measurement, not the letter.

The sale rack is where sizes break. 14 of the 27 discounted kaftans sold in sizes were down to one size, against only 4 of 52 at full price. Limelight was the extreme, with 6 of its 14 kaftans in a single size, mostly medium. If you are XS, though, you are lucky: XS was the size most often still orderable.

How to Shop a Kaftan in Pakistan

1. Start at Ethnic. It has more than half of every kaftan on sale online, from Rs 3,490 on sale to Rs 34,990 Boutique.
2. For the cheapest piece, check Limelight: grip, lawn and silk kaftans from Rs 1,999, but often one size only.
3. For winter and dressy, look at Zeen‘s velvet and Nishat Linen‘s embroidered kaftans, at full price.
4. For a custom fit, buy kaftan fabric from Alkaram Studio or Gul Ahmed and give it to your darzi.
5. On sale, buy fast. About half the discounted kaftans were down to their last size, so if yours is there, abhi le lo.

Returns on Sale Kaftans

Ethnic, with 19 of the 29 discounted kaftans, says: “Sale items are not eligible for exchange or refund. Only size exchange is allowed.” Limelight, Zeen, Nishat Linen, Alkaram Studio and Sana Safinaz do not take back sale items. Gul Ahmed is the friendly one: 30 day exchange, sale items not excluded. For any kaftan Pakistan sale buy, get the size right first time.

Every entry read directly from the brand’s own published returns or exchange policy on 20 August 2026, and re-read for 15 of the brands on 27 August 2026. Where a policy does not mention sale items at all, the table says so rather than assuming they are covered. Policies change, so check the brand site before you pay.
