Limelight Review 2026: The Cheapest Womenswear in Pakistan, and What That Costs You

Limelight review measured from the full catalogue, 5,649 listings and 3,282 in stock women’s pieces, 17 September 2026

My cousin got her first salary and did what we all did: opened Limelight, filled a cart with nine things, felt like a millionaire. Then two arrived in a size she had not picked, because hers was gone.

That is the brand in one story. For this limelight review I read every listing on 17 September 2026. Chalo, hisaab dekhte hain.

Limelight Review: Who This Brand Is For

This brand is for the student, the first jobber and anyone buying four everyday outfits instead of one good one. 1,898 of the 3,282 in stock pieces cost under Rs 3,000, 58 percent of the shop.

Sirf ek baat samajh lo, yeh volume brand hai: the second biggest women’s catalogue of the 19 we read, behind only Gul Ahmed. Not for weddings though, and the catalogue is blunt about it.

Limelight Review: What Is Actually in the Catalogue

Honest bit. 2,090 of the 5,649 listings on limelight.pk are not clothing: 1,090 accessories, 590 bags, 228 shoes, 146 jewellery, 28 fragrances. The shop feels enormous partly because a third is not clothes.

Strip those and 3,559 garments remain: 150 kids’, 121 men’s and 3,288 women’s, 3,282 still orderable. Ab dusri baat, 506 are head wear, scarves and dupattas, so the real outfit count is 2,776.

Three quarters of it is ready to wear, 1,690 pieces against 548 unstitched. Came for cloth for the darzi? Wrong shop, and the unstitched versus stitched guide says when that matters. The co-ord sets guide covers the 282 co-ords.

Limelight Review: What It Really Costs in 2026

The typical in stock women’s piece is Rs 2,499, a quarter under Rs 1,299 and a quarter above Rs 4,899. The dearest thing here is a 3 piece embroidered velvet suit at Rs 16,999, a middling price elsewhere.

All 3,282 in stock pieces, priced for this limelight review on 17 September 2026.

Yeh baat zaroori hai. The market median across every brand we can price is Rs 4,690, so Limelight sits 47 percent below, first of 18. Alkaram Studio is second at Rs 3,390. The brand by budget guide ranks the rest.

Yaad rakhne wali baat

We check every brand for a price on request in disguise, dozens of pieces sharing one number because nobody will publish a real one. Limelight passes cleanly: 202 price points across 3,282 pieces. Yeh asli keematein hain.

The Quality Signals a Limelight Review Can Measure

Main seedhi baat karti hoon. No feed can tell you how a seam is finished or whether the dye runs, and anyone ranking that off a website is guessing. It can prove cloth, finish, discount honesty and the age of the stock, so that is the test.

Fabric read from titles, types and tags, so a piece can appear twice. Chiffon is a gap at 32 pieces, net 21, both small samples.

Khaddar is the house fabric, 572 pieces at Rs 2,599, and the khaddar suits guide shows how rare that is. Nor is it all plain: 1,360 pieces are embroidered at Rs 4,499, against 1,013 printed at Rs 1,799.

Two things count against it. Only 147 pieces, 4.5 percent, were genuinely created since 15 July, while 1,253 are old stock re-published with a fresh date, the oldest from February 2018. And of 2,215 reduced pieces, 54 percent are 30 percent off or less.

Ruko! Do “was” prices yahan jhooth bolte hain

Most brands fake a discount with a Custom size surcharge. Limelight carries zero Custom size options, so that trap does not apply here. It has two of its own.

1,042 listings show a was price identical to the price, no discount at all, and 25 carry a phantom was price near Rs 400,000, so a tracker reads 99 percent off a Rs 1,899 shirt. Both are stripped out above. The fake sale discounts guide has the pattern.

Limelight Review: Sizes Are the Real Problem

This should change how you shop here. 2,001 in stock pieces publish a size, and 1,223 of them, 61 percent, have already lost at least one. 457 are down to one size. Page kehta hai available, aap ka size nahi.

Small and Medium hold up. Large is gone on nearly half the pieces that offer it, and Extra Large has all but vanished.

Bottom bar dekho, yaar. Only 131 of 1,940 letter sized pieces offer Extra Large, and 5 still had it. Nothing at all in XXL.

It bites hardest where you shop: 68 percent of sale pieces are short a size against 44 percent at full price. Jo sasta hai, wohi khatam hai.

Limelight Review: Delivery and Returns

Delivery is the easy part. The published policy gives free delivery above Rs 4,999, dispatch in 1 to 2 working days, delivery in 4 to 5, and cancels unverified cash on delivery orders after 3 days. Do the hisaab though: 75 percent of the range costs under Rs 4,999, so it takes two pieces. Ek suit par courier ka kharcha aapka.

Returns are the weak part: 7 working days for an exchange, sale items excluded, a strict no refund policy, and you post the parcel back. With 68 percent of the range on sale, most of what you buy is final.

Every entry read directly from the brand’s own published returns or exchange policy on 20 August 2026, and re-read for 15 of the brands on 27 August 2026. Where a policy does not mention sale items at all, the table says so rather than assuming they are covered. Policies change, so check the brand site before you pay.

Tight half of the table, bluntest wording on money: Gul Ahmed never even names sale items, and it collects the parcel free.

Limelight Review Against Two Real Rivals

Not Maria B. The fair comparison is Gul Ahmed and Beechtree, on identical rules.

All three measured the same way for this limelight review on 17 September 2026.

It wins on price and loses on nearly everything else. Rs 1,095 cheaper per typical piece is real money across four outfits. But Gul Ahmed cuts deeper, holds more unstitched, takes returns for 30 days and pays the postage, and both rivals sell an XL. The full 19 brand review lines them all up.

Limelight Review: Who Should Skip It

Bas, saaf saaf. Shopping for a wedding? Not your shop. Not one of the 3,282 pieces is called bridal, wedding, party or luxury. It files 192 as formal at Rs 7,699, priced properly in our formal wear guide.

Wear XL or above? Do not build a wardrobe here, since 7 percent of sized pieces even offer it. Need to send things back? Stay off the sale rail, 68 percent of the shop. Judging a sale by its banner? Read our Limelight sale guide first.

Limelight Review: How to Shop It Without Regret

  1. Open the size dropdown before you fall in love. 61 percent are missing one.
  2. Sort by price, not percentage. The typical cut is 30 percent, so what you pay is the only useful number.
  3. Start in unstitched printed and cambric, Rs 1,999 and Rs 1,399, the cheapest branded cloth anywhere.
  4. Ignore a was price that equals the price, and treat a 99 percent banner as a feed error, because 25 of them are.
  5. Stack two pieces past Rs 4,999 for free delivery, and answer the verification call.
  6. Assume a sale buy is final, so read the size chart, not the size name.

Is that discount even real?

One in three Limelight listings carries a was price that is not a discount at all.

Limelight Review FAQs

Is Limelight a good brand?

For everyday clothes on a budget, yes. It is the cheapest womenswear we can measure in Pakistan, a typical Rs 2,499 against a market median of Rs 4,690. Its weakness is sizes: 1,223 of the 2,001 pieces that publish one are short at least a size.

How much does Limelight cost?

A typical women’s piece is Rs 2,499, a quarter under Rs 1,299 and a quarter above Rs 4,899. Unstitched printed starts at Rs 799, ready to wear is typically Rs 4,999, and only 53 pieces reach Rs 10,000.

Is Limelight cheaper than Gul Ahmed?

Yes. A typical Limelight piece is Rs 2,499 against Rs 3,594 at Gul Ahmed, and 58 percent of its range is under Rs 3,000 against 37 percent. Gul Ahmed gives the deeper discount, a typical 40 percent against 30.

Does Limelight have plus sizes?

Barely. Of 1,940 women’s pieces sold in letter sizes, only 131 are published in XL and just 5 still had it on 17 September 2026. Nothing was published in XXL. At Gul Ahmed 74 percent of sized pieces reach XL or larger, at Beechtree 89 percent.

Can you return something to Limelight?

Only if you paid full price, and only as an exchange. Limelight allows 7 working days to request one, says sale items cannot be exchanged, follows a strict no refund policy, and expects you to post the parcel back.

Is the Limelight sale genuine?

Mostly, but it is shallow and the feed is messy. About 68 percent of the range carries a real discount at a typical 30 percent off, and only 12 percent reach half price. Another 1,042 listings show a was price identical to the price.

Who should not shop at Limelight?

Anyone shopping for a wedding, anyone who wears XL or above, and anyone who needs to send things back. Nothing in the catalogue is described as bridal, wedding, party or luxury, XL is effectively unavailable, and sale items cannot be exchanged.

The Bottom Line on This Limelight Review

Limelight does one thing better than anybody else in Pakistan: a typical piece costs Rs 2,499 when the market median is Rs 4,690, across the second biggest catalogue we measure. The prices are honest and khaddar at Rs 2,599 is a genuinely good deal.

What you give up is size availability, depth of discount, occasion wear and the right to change your mind. Verdict: buy everyday clothes here, early in the season, but take your wedding money, your XL and your indecision somewhere else.

My cousin kept seven of the nine. Still a good day. Bas size dropdown pehle kholna.

How we checked: We read the full public catalogue of Limelight on 17 September 2026, 5,649 listings, beside 18 other Pakistani brands, 124,655 products. We dropped everything that is not clothing, then kids’ lines and menswear, leaving 3,288 women’s adult garments, 3,282 with a size still orderable. Typical price is the median charged, a discount is a compare at price above the selling price, and 25 rows with a phantom compare at price near Rs 400,000 are excluded. Sizes are read at variant level. Khaadi and Sapphire publish no readable feed and Generation no rupee prices. Groups under 20 pieces are small samples. Policies were read 20 and 27 August 2026. A feed cannot show stitching, fit, colour fastness or service, so this limelight review does not rank them. Workings: articles/research/limelight-review_stats.py.
