Winter Collection 2026: Only 3,940 Pieces Are Truly New, and Not One Is a Sweater
Last Sunday Lahore was still hot, the fan was on full, and my phone buzzed: Winter is here! Ammi looked up from her chai and said, bas, ab khaddar ka time aa gaya. I opened the app, tapped New In, and the first thing I saw was a sweater. Already on sale. Ruko, how is a brand new sweater already on sale?
So I read the full catalogues of 19 Pakistani brands on 17 September 2026, 124,655 products, and checked the dates behind every listing. That sweater? Old stock with a fresh date. Here is what the winter collection 2026 really contains, what it costs, and what to buy now or wait for.
What the Winter Collection 2026 Has Really Launched
Every listing has two dates: created, and last published. Shops use the second to decide what is new, so last winter’s suit, published again, jumps straight back into New In.
8,854 garments in stock were published since 15 July, but 4,914 of them were created before 15 July, and 2,304 before 2026 even began. Only 3,940 were both created and published since 15 July. On this page, “truly new” means those.
The biggest re-lister is Limelight: 1,419 listings in the new season window, only 147 truly new, and none of its 303 khaddar listings there created after 15 July. Not a scam, yaar, just older stock back on the shelf, which can even help your wallet.
So the winter collection 2026 is arriving right now, bohat tezi se. September beat all of August in 17 days.

Gul Ahmed leads with 837. Its tags show three winter 2026 lines, which its website presents as mostly khaddar, though lawn still leads its new pieces overall. Nishat Linen launched the most new khaddar, 80 pieces. Limelight and Alkaram Studio list far more as new than they truly launched. Naya kam, purana zyada.
Bonanza Satrangi and Beechtree already show a sale price on most new pieces, so ask whether that “was” price was ever real. Winter fabrics in truly new launches

Share of older stock: khaddar 3.05%, chiffon 2.31%, karandi 0.35%, velvet 0.33%. Velvet leaves out chiffon add ons and velour tagged velvet.
Khaddar is the headline, led by Nishat Linen (80), Gul Ahmed (69) and Edenrobe (49). Last winter the Express Tribune reported “a stronger preference for locally made khaddar and woollen garments due to the rising prices of imported goods”.
Karandi grew fastest, but it is sirf 54 pieces, and 48 come from Nishat Linen and Gul Ahmed. Velvet is Baroque’s party, with 19 of 31. Chiffon is the widest trend: its share rose at 11 brands and fell at 5.
Prints are up too: 39.5% of truly new pieces against 21.8% of older stock, just as The News advised “floral prints on khaddar or karandi fabrics” last winter. Organza, net, raw silk and dobby lost share at most brands. Lawn, haan wahi lawn, still leads at 24.8% of new pieces, but is fading as sardi comes.

The Unstitched Shift in Winter Collection 2026
Counting pieces that say either way, 47.6% of truly new launches are unstitched, against 28.8% of older stock. Gul Ahmed swung hardest: 88.5% of its new season listings are unstitched, up from 63.9%.
New unstitched costs a typical Rs 4,990 and ready to wear Rs 8,000, a Rs 3,010 gap. But the darzi is getting pricier. The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics says urban tailoring rose 12.93% in the year to August 2026, against 4.96% for ready made garments. New velvet costs almost four times new khaddar. Now look at khaddar’s last column: Rs 3,999 once older pieces are included. The 364 older khaddar pieces listed again cost a typical Rs 3,290, and 78.6% are on sale, mostly Limelight pieces created in 2025. Latest print ka shauq nahi? That is where the cheap khaddar is.
What Winter Collection 2026 Has Not Launched Yet
Not one sweater or cardigan created after 15 July is in stock. The 54 sweaters listed as new are all older stock, all on sale, at a typical Rs 2,427. Mystery of my sweater, solved.

Every truly new count is under 20, too few to price, so we do not.

The newer a piece really is, the less likely it is to be on sale.
Nearly three in four sale prices in the new season window sit on older pieces listed again. And Khaadi? Its own website says: “Our sale starts from 19th September at up to 40% off.” That is Khaadi’s claim, not our measurement, and “up to” means the biggest cut, not the usual one.

“New In” does not always mean new, and a “new” piece already on sale may well be older stock. Most Pakistani brands will not take back sale items, so check the size chart before you pay.
How to Shop the Winter Collection 2026
- Decide: new print or older print. Older khaddar listed again is the cheapest way in.
- Go to the brand that owns the fabric: Nishat Linen and Gul Ahmed for karandi, Baroque for velvet.
- Price the darzi before buying unstitched. The gap to ready to wear is Rs 3,010.
- Hold off on coats and blazers, or buy older ones in the winter sale.
- Khaadi fan? Wait for 19 September, the date Khaadi gives.

The Bottom Line on the Winter Collection 2026
The winter collection 2026 is arriving fast, but it is not all here. Only 3,940 pieces are truly new, khaddar, karandi, velvet, chiffon and prints are rising, and almost half of new launches are unstitched.
My plan? Older khaddar now, new velvet only when I find the one, coats later. Ammi already bought two khaddar suits, both older stock, both on sale, and she is very proud. Main ne kuch nahi kaha.
How we checked: We read the full public catalogues of 19 Pakistani brands on 17 September 2026, 124,655 products, and kept adult garments with a size in stock: 28,039. Brands often publish old stock again, which resets its published date, so listed as new means published on or after 15 July 2026 (8,854), and truly new, used for every launch claim, means created and published on or after 15 July (3,940). Older stock is everything else in stock (19,185). Fabric, cut and stitching come from titles, product types and tags. Typical price is the median, the middle half is the 25th to 75th percentile, and on sale means a compare at price above the selling price, not counting custom size surcharges. Generation has no rupee prices, and groups under 20 are not priced. Khaadi and Sapphire publish no readable feed, so they are not included.
